Wouter Tulp

The world around us provides all the inspiration we need to come up with the most fantastic characters.”

Wouter grew up surrounded by pencils, brushes and pots of paint. It was the perfect environment for creativity and Wouter’s talent for art was already noticeable at a young age.

Today, he’s a painter and illustrator. In addition to art for children’s books, Wouter also draws caricatures for prominent newspapers and magazines. In these, he manages to tell a complete story in a single drawing.

His style is characterised by exceptional attention to detail. Subtle touches including expressions and gestures really bring his drawings to life.

Wouter has worked on a number of children’s books with writers including Tjibbe Veldkamp, Marc Haayema and Ivo de Wijs.
